The George and Irene Jaensch collection includes photographs (c.1880s-1900s) taken during their time at various telegraph stations in the Northern Territory, including Katherine, Daly Waters and Newcastle Waters. This is a photo of the ship �M.S. Pyramus� which brought the Governor-General to the Northern Territory for a 1907 tour, and sensationally ran aground afterwards while travelling him down to Melbourne to open Federal Parliament.,

No date, but possibly 1907, when the Governor-General visited the Northern Territory [KM]. The story of the ship's grounding is in The Sydney Morning Herald, June 26, 1907 [KM],
