History
The Unit was moved from Townsville to replace the US 147 Field Regiment. In September 1942, 42 Battery was located at 37 Mile, 43 Battery was at 50.5 Mile and 41 Battery was at 6.5 Mile. They left for Sydney in January 1944 and were replaced by 1 Field Regiment.,
