History

201 Special Duties was established at Laverton in Victoria 10 March 1945. It had three modified Liberator bombers A72-186 LV-A and A72-357 LV-B and A72-357 LV-D. They were equipped for wireless interception and moved to Darwin July 1945. It returned to Laverton 16 October 1945 and was disbanded 15 March 1946.,
