History

The Unit was formed at Laverton in Victoria 1 June 1942 before travelling to Pell airfield October 1942. January 1945 it was renamed 4 Repair and Servicing Unit. It relocated to Winnellie May 1945 and left the Territory 15 December 1945. It was renamed 482 Maintenance Squadron 10 May 1946.,
