History
This was a Unit of Aboriginals organised by Jack Murray to Patrol the Cox Peninsula and north of Darwin. They were based in Delissaville and operated as coastwatchers and rescued many downed pilots. They worked for rations and tobacco. They wore no uniforms nor had rifles. Major Robert Hall's report from 1985 stated that they were de facto soldiers. Since 1994 they have been eligible for the Civilian Service Medal 1939-1945. Some of these medals have never been claimed.,
