Abstract

This record presents new zircon petrochronologic data collected at CODES, University of Tasmania in November of 2016 and January and February of 2017 in support of the NTGS regional geoscientific investigations and mapping program. Zircon and garnet were analysed in four samples from the Aileron Province in order to constrain the timing, duration, and rate of metamorphism and deformation in this region. This report documents the location, lithology, and geologic context of each sample, the petrologic context of the zircon and garnet in each sample, and the isotope and trace element data collected from zircon and garnet in each sample.
