First tennis courts in the Township of Stuart (later called Alice Springs). (There was already a court built at the Alice Springs Telegraph Station.) It was located at the top of today's access ramp to the underground carpark at the Target end of the Alice Plaza. The Ghost Gum stood in Murray Neck's yard, which became the north East corner of the Alice Plaza building. Billy Goat Hill and Mount Gillen are in the background., From left to right: Doris Bradshaw (daughter of Thomas Bradshaw, the then postmaster of the Telegraph Station), Mabel Taylor {Governess of the Bradshaw children), Bill Perry (Telegraph Operator), Mary Grant(her husband Jim was Gaol Warden), daughter Flo (born Oodnadatta 1902).
