Abstract
This report describes the work carried out on the survey of the Keep River Irrigation area by the then Water Resources Branch of the Department of Northern Territory.
Flood hydrology has been examined in detail for the irrigation area to assess the need for flood embankments.
Sites of major structures have been surveyed in detail.
Using the Western Australian Government's Public Works Department guidelines, a canal and drain layout has been prepared (Drawing No. 81/1076). The layout provides for a feasible irrigation area of 10,750 hectares all served by gravity from the
Ord canal system.,
