The story was written by Greg Palmer on 3rd September 1992 and sent to Jennette Brown, wife of his good friend Spencer Brown. Jennette visited the library on 19 February 2014 and provided Northern Territory Library a copy of the story for the library to use in an appropriate place.
The story tells of the time they spent with the 18th Field Battery in the Northern Territory and in particular in Darwin on the 19 February 1942 and after.
