Description

Preliminary steady state finite element groundwater flow modelling has been completed for the Georgina and Wiso groundwater basins. The model reproduces the observed steady state groundwater levels and discharges volumes measured at the locations of the known springs along the Flora River and head waters of the Roper River near Mataranka. The model was then utilised to assess the effects of a hypothetical pumping bore on spring discharge at various distances from the springs in the Mataranka area., Made available via the Publications (Legal Deposit) Act 2004 (NT).,
