Former State Librarian of Tasmania, Siobhan Gaskell, will talk on the 26TEN project which incorporates a network of organisations and individuals working together to improve adult literacy in Tasmania.
Event took place on Thursday 4 April 5:15pm
Presented by NT chapter Australian Council for Adult Literacy (ACAL)
The program sees that ‘Literacy' is not just about reading, writing and maths. It is also about technology, problem-solving and communicating with others. Whether it is filling in forms, reading bills or adding up at the supermarket, it is a fact that many adults have difficulty dealing with everyday literacy tasks. The good news is that, whatever literacy issue adults are dealing with, it is never too late to improve their skills and get the tools for life they need.,
