This document recommends sampling and statistical methods for assessment of the conservation
status of coastal dolphins in the Northern Territory. The project is part of an offset program
developed by the Northern Territory Government through the Department of Land Resource
Management (DLRM) to deliver robust scientific data to support the assessment of the regional conservation status of all species of coastal dolphins. The project will provide a framework for ongoing monitoring and management of dolphin populations and habitats in the Northern Territory, strengthen evidence-based decision-making, and assist in evaluating future environmental impact assessments.,
