Description

Made available via the Publications (Legal Deposit) Act 2004 (NT)., "This research was carried out in two stages. Stage 1 (January 2016) involved a number of consultations, the aim of which was to explore the experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Darwin when a cyclone, bushfire or severe weather event strikes and in its aftermath, and to identify determinants of vulnerability from the perspective of these communities. Stage 2 of this research has focused on Indigenous researcher development, and ways in which Indigenous researchers participating in projects such as this one, may be recognised for their contributions, and supported in their professional development, within and beyond the life of the project." - Executive summary,
