Description

This report was commissioned by the Road Projects Division of the Northern Territory Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Environment to assess the archaeological potential of creek crossings along Larapinta Drive and Namatjira Drive west of Hermannsburg and Glen Helen Lodge. Included in the scope of works are the potential creek crossings within a road realignment section and a 1000 m section of the road reserve west of the Finke River Crossing near Glen Helen Lodge. In this area a number of Finke River channels cross the existing road. These areas have never been investigated from an archaeological and heritage perspective. - Executive summary,
