The newly constructed Legislative Council Building at the southern end of Mitchell Street. This fibro building was built to house members of the Legislative Council. It has since been demolished. It was damaged in Cyclone Tracy and as a consequence leaked when raining. Too small, it has been superceded by the new Parliament House Building on this site.,
