Date
1928-02-22,
Location
Parap,
Darwin,
Description
Bert Hinkler's biplane G-EBOV 'Avian Cirrus' under a makeshift tarpaulin, possibly part of the fuselage on the ground. Photo possibly taken at Darwin although Hinkler was forced to land at Brunette Downs on 24 February 1928 where he spent the night. He makes no mention of mechanical difficulties however, and the fact that he serviced the aircraft in Darwin on 23 February 1928 weighs in favour of Darwin as the photo's origin (R. Alford).,
