A biplane G-EBOV 'Avian Cirrus' flown by Bert Hinkler on his first solo flight from England to Australia in 1928. The Avro Avian arrived at Darwin on 22 February 1928 after a 10 1/2 hour flight from Burma. Prior to stepping on to Australian soil Hinkler was required to undergo a check-up by a local doctor. Photo shows Hinkler and the doctor.,
