Abstract
This study is part of a larger project which is aiming to identify the research needs of Indigenous Protected Area (IPA) in Northern Australia. This particular sub-component of the project focuses on the economic value of IPAs. The authors set out to identify core social, economic and cultural benefits association with IPAs through methodological approaches suited to the estimation of value of these contexts. The looked at gaps in the understanding of the economic value of these benefits and ways in which stakeholders could use information about the economic value in decision making.,
