Back of the Charles Darwin Medal has been established to recognise individuals who have
made an outstanding contribution to research and innovation in a variety of fields
across the Northern Territory. It is a prestigious award and will not be presented on
an annual basis, but rather when the Northern Territory Research and Innovation
Board consider a nominee worthy of honour. Presented to Lorna Nungala Fejo, the Charles Darwin Research and Innovation Medal was given by His Honour Mr Tom Pauling AO QC
