Description
VH-USG, the second of the DH86 Dragon Rapide (Commonwealth Class) aircraft acquired by Qantas (QWA) in 1934. The aircraft arrived in Darwin on 13 November 1934 on the delivery flight to Archerfield aerodrome. It was flown by Capt. R. A. Prendergast, with F. R. Charlton and W. V. Creetes as crew - 'Bunny' Broadfoot joined them as a passenger or supernumerary. The aircraft was destroyed two days later when it crashed in the early morning rain near Longreach Qld, killing all on board.,
