Mechanic Wally Shiers is standing at the nose of the aircraft, whilst Jim Bennett is standing at the port wing with hand on hip. The same day saw the arrival of Capt Wrigley and Sgt Murphy in a BE26 aircraft having flown from Point Cook in Victoria to survey a route for the aircraft in the England-Australia Air Race.,
