Farewell at Palmerston Town Hall in August 1913 for Mrs Strangman (wife of medical officer). Mrs Gilruth presided and presented Mrs Strangman with a bank draft so she could buy a momento of her time in the Territory. Mesdames Worgan and Witherdon were largely responsible and Ellen Ryan headed the committee. The NT Times said the women has transformed the hall into a 'large drawing room' by placing tables, cane chairs and pieces of carpet around as well as craft material.
