English Scottish and Australian Bank, Smith street, Palmerston (now Darwin), also known as the Tin Bank, built in 1883 after earlier tin and wood building was destroyed by white ants, it was occupied as a bank until World War 2, after which it was taken over by the NT News (1946-1968), demolished in 1968 it stood on a site close to Brown's Mart, just visible on left of photo.,
